Created by Brisbane-based fashion designer Isabella Hall, Poppy Rowe is a slow fashion brand focused on reducing environmental impact through the creation of timeless, biodegradable, and functional pieces for the everyday woman.

ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Growing up up as an only child, my parents were my biggest advocates for stepping outside of my comfort zone and embracing new experiences. Travelling regularly and living in different countries over the years has allowed me to experience not only a variety of cultures, architecture and lifestyles, but also learn how to adapt to new and challenging situations. It is from these experiences that led me to find my passion for fashion design and wonder what I could bring to the industry. As a designer, being curious and allowing yourself to be authentic and expressive are values I believe help shape my design philosophy. Fashion design is a personal yet freeing way of expressing my inner thoughts and commenting on topics in an artistic way. As clothing is a part of all our lives, I am passionate about creating garments that can resonate with people’s lives in an emotional, functional and sustainable way. This passion has led me to want to contribute to my industry through community by establishing workshops to help others learn, be creative, feel empowered and have fun in an already complex world. To me, certain aspects of the fashion industry can feel complicated, exclusionary and disconnected from real issues. However, I want the skills and knowledge I have learnt from design to create a supportive, inclusive and compassionate environment.
